Whether your sewage or wastewater flows to a septic tank or directly into a city's sewer system, there is always a risk of a sewer backup occurring inside your home or business. Sewer backups happen when underground plumbing breaks or becomes clogged with objects like cooking grease or tree roots. When a backup happens, the raw sewage in the plumbing lines flows backward into your structure and exits from toilets, drains, and sinks.

We designed the 6" Home-Saver Flip Top Sewer Relief Cap to replace the 6" solid sewer cap on the sewer line outside of your structure. Simply unscrew the solid sewer cap and screw the Home-Saver Cap into your existing sewer cleanout. If a sewer backup occurs, the Home-Saver Cap will flip up, allowing the wastewater to exit outside of your home or business. Expelling the waste outside protects you from costly damage to flooring, furniture, and valuables, as well as unhealthy exposure to sewage and wastewater.

You or a plumber can install the 6" Home-Saver Sewer Relief Cap in minutes. PLEASE NOTE: For proper functionality, the finished grade/elevation of the installed Home-Saver Cap must be at a minimum of 1" below the lowest interior plumbing opening (ex: shower drain, toilet, tub drain, etc.)

Do not place any items on top of the cap, as their weight will prevent the cap from opening.

Do not use your lawn mower over the sewer cap! The vacuum will raise the cap and the blade will cut it off.
