Inspired by alaskan Amber from alaskan brewing company this rich malty beer features a pronounced hop profile from traditional European and Pacific Northwest hops. The commercial version of this beer is an ALT style which comes from the German word "ALT" meaning "old". this refers to the aging that alts undergo since they ferment more slowly and at colder temperatures than most makes. Slow fermentation helps condition the flavors, contributing to the overall balance and smoothness. This beer can be fermented at 60F to make the traditional ALT version or at standard 70f temperature for a different (but still very good) ale.
