D60- Hot Held Hot Knife The foam cutter D60 with a blade type R cuts through ropes and cords without fail. You can also use it to evenly cut through other synthetic materials like canvases or webbing. The foam cutter is a useful tool for people working in shipyards, sailing schools or workshops. Different skids can be inserted for cutting different kinds of ropes or synthetic materials. The skids for synthetic materials ensure clean, smooth cuts and can be used to cut even robust and thick materials, as well as shortening ropes or severing synthetic materials. The end of the ropes or cords are welded during the cutting, so that they wont fall apart. The foam cutter melts the material at the cut surface and thereby ensures a perfectly clean cut. Before the cutting, the R-blade (included in delivery) is heated to the desired temperature and effortlessly glides through the rope, Styrofoam or other meltable materials, leaving clean edges. The maximum cutting temperature of the electric device is 500 C and the high-powered transformer heats the device in a few seconds only. The integrated overheat protection turns the machine off as soon as the electric parts reach a temperature of 90 C. The ergonomic one-hand handle and the cord length of 2.5m allow you to work comfortably. The professional device is very compact, lightweight and has practical hanging brackets, in case you need both hands to handle larger materials. The foam cutter can be turned on with a push button. The foam cutter can be used with many different skids or blades, which means that it can be used for a variety of works.
