These virtual barrier are super-small and hardly noticeable. They run on two AA batteries per unit. They have two settings. The first setting projects a 10' IR beam in a straight light line. This is good for doorways. The second setting produces a 4' circular IR beam around the unit. Halo mode basically makes a circle around the unit that the robot won't enter.This can be useful if you have pets.

The virtual barrier are designed to block off robot from going into an area you don't want it to enter. If an area is too large, you can also use this accessory to divide the area so the robot can run effectively.
