They expand in water and become fully transparent after 8 hours; they will look like water but more dense to hold the Pearls in place as if they are floating. It can be stored in water for several weeks before your event. The Floating Pearls can be prepared in the vases up to 7 days in advance, stay fresh and afloat for months, transportable, removable, storable, and reusable! We suggest you practice on a vase and then store the Gels in water, so nothing is wasted : )
